What’s the most satisfying part of your role at VoucherCodes?
As a Team Lead at Vouchercodes, the most satisfying part of my job is guiding and helping the team find and list the best offers for our users. I really enjoy guiding the team on how to find best deals and giving suggestions on how to list them in ways that catch attention and make people want to use them.
I also take part in selecting best offers, add correct visual images and make offers featured for homepage sections. It feels really good to see the final result come together, knowing that the planning and visuals might help bring in more users and make it easier for them to find and use the offers.
The most satisfying part of the work is when i get to know that, the offers listed or brands have good performance which is good for both users and us, which simply reflect the result of our team work.
If you could give one tip to your younger self about saving money, what would it be?
If I could give one tip to my younger self about saving money, it would be to start using online platforms earlier. I am 27 now, and it has only been about a year since I started buying food, clothes and other daily items online. When I think back, I realise I missed many chances to save just because I did not notice how many good deals and offers were available.
Now everything is moving online, and not using that is a missed opportunity. There are discounts on food delivery, clothes, gadgets and so much more. If I had started earlier, I could have saved a lot.
So my simple advice is this. Do not ignore online shopping. Use trusted sites, compare prices and always look for coupon codes or offers before buying anything. Saving money does not always mean spending less. Sometimes, it just means shopping in a smarter way.
How do you determine if an offer is worth publishing?
When I decide whether an offer is worth publishing, I always check if it gives a clear and real discount on the product. On our coupon site, the main aim is to help users save money in a way that is simple and useful, not just to make the offer look good at first glance.
Some deals may come with free gifts or reward points, but I feel that a direct discount is always better. A price cut is clear and helps the customer right away. Free gifts or points can be nice, but they often have terms or may not be as helpful as saving actual money. That is why I usually give more value to offers that lower the product price directly.
I also make sure the offer is active, easy to use, and fits what our users are looking for. It is important that the deal works properly and gives what it promises.
